Plastic Equasions: Have we broken the golden rule

If you look around you right now, you will see plastic. In fact, the very stuff that gave us convenience, storage, and utensils is now proving fatal.

An enlightenment needs to happen again because, to be honest. If we carry on the way we are, we will not only poison the planet, but ourselves as well.

Monasteries attract those who wish to grow in some way.

The magnetic field of Mother Earth has attracted us, in a noisy fit of insanity.

The desire to move forward with new developments serves some useful causes. Still, many have been or are utilized to amass great wealth and prestige for a small percentage of people, often at the expense of the slave labor of others. From early slavery to modern-day invisible slavery, where a whole system has been devised to keep the poor down, the passion for moving forward has come at a great cost to the earth.

In earlier times, we lived in harmony with nature. Like the birds in the trees and the trees themselves, we lived with the seasons. Accepting the flow of our abundant surroundings and not forcing our fantastical ideas, and therefore trying to mould the earth to our every whim.

For thousands of years, nature was sacred to all communities. Nature was our truss and we relied upon its grace and strength to hold us. But look where we are now.

We live in an age where we are destroying the womb that fed us in our infancy.

Many technologies developed in the post-war era have been used to extract materials from the earth at a huge rate. As the human population grows, it creates more plastic. From plastic keyboards, containers, the polymar list is the biggest shopping basket you could ever wish to fill. The stuff is even in some shampoos.

Many of the items you have in your home will end up in landfills. Many of them are made of plastics or other brand-new, harvested materials. The more products we buy, the greater the piles of discarded, unloved products we chuck out. We can see this at the local dump, refuse yard

We are filling our mother, the very planet that gave us life, with rubbish.

We are surrounded by plastic, stuffing it into holes, shipping it around the world, and many beaches are littered with it. If we continue at this rate, poisoning from plastic will be common and maybe even be one of the causes of death for thousands.

The Earth, the very giver of life, becomes weaker by the decade.

We have chosen to chastise her while we have our dirty way.

Many now sit in a stream of wi-fi signals. Whilst their ignored babies are given a plastic phone to amuse themselves whilst sucking at a plastic teat. Feeding it fake breast milk. We are content in our own ignorance towards our children and planet. Nonchalantly leaving it for a later generation to deal with. Our lack of concern for what is out there is reflected in our own lives.

Everything is connected, and what is done to one side of this equation shall be performed on the other.

The lack of conscience, concern, and connection to the earth has brought about disconnection within our homes. And while we sleep, or brush the shards of plastic under the rug, those who benefit become stronger and richer.
