Angels Of Nature

Whether you believe in angels or not, they might exist.

There are many names for the beings that appear just when we need them, and many people have claimed to see them. The subject of angels entered my life many years ago when I realized there was something beyond what we could see or feel.

Some females are blessed with a condition called Tetrachromacy, which basically means they can see more colours. You can get more insight into this here. Others can receive a broader range of light, and personally, I have always wondered if this enables some of us to see things that others are blind to.

From seeing my grandmother after she passed away, or the other beings or perceived phenomena that I have encountered, I was left feeling a bit different from everyone else. That was until I receieved the book Angels In My Hair by Lorna Byrne. An Irish spiritual teacher, international bestselling author, and charity founder.

The earliest encounter that shook me came to help me in the churchyard of St Peter's and St Paul's Church in Great Missenden, my home village. I would take books and sit and read at the very top of the churchyard on a bench, on a summer's evening. I was twelve or so. I had no idea I was being followed by a local wierdo, who was taking photographs of me, until I was scared away from my favourite spot by a priest. The priest was not real and appeared one night, running towards me up a secondary road to the top of the hill. I grabbed my books and ran home terrified.

I can still see him today. His white hair, purple cassock, and hat. His awful face. I ran down the hill, along the High Street, and all the way home.
It was only when I told the vicar that I realised what I had seen was not real. He said I was describing a Roman Catholic Priest, and it sounded like something out of days gone by. But then it all made sense. My grandmother and family were buried in that churchyard, and in the meantime, someone had warned my family that a local weirdo photographer had photos of me in his house. He had developed them himself. I stopped going out on my own and only went out with friends from then on.

But what of this warning?

He was sent to scare me. Sent by Grandma, God?

I had seen this predatory male when I had been out, with his camera, but had no idea he was taking images of me.
It was the start of many people and things appearing in my life that only made sense once I read Lorna's book.

Her book came to me in another, what I like to term, supernatural way.

I had placed the book in my shopping basket on Amazon, but had not paid for it.
A few days later I was working at a local charity bookshop. I was in the corner by the counter putting out stock when the door opened behind me. I heard thick, heavy footsteps come towards me. A female low Irish accent said, " Are you taking donations?"
I turned and replied, "Yes". She looked very solemn. "This is for you," she said, and thrust a book wrapped in a carrier bag at my chest. I took it. She turned and walked out of the shop. I placed the book in the stockroom. The manager said I had better open it soon, as that woman really wanted me to have that book.
I continued putting out stock for a while and then made some tea.

As I opened the bag, I could not believe it.
There was a copy of Angels In My Hair by Lorna Byrne. I paid for it and took it home.
I am writing this article today as another coincidence has come upon me yet again.
As an artist who believes in God, the creator, I always pray and ask about my next project. My latest one came to me as I stared at the blank paper. I was pleased with the idea and went ahead with the large design.

I have almost completed my project, Angels of Nature. I had planned to have that written on the frame. So imagine my surprise and delight today when I came across Angels of Nature by Newhouse, Flower A., a twentieth-century Christian mystic.

I find life is all joined up in one way or another. But we do not see the signs, the connections. But when we do, we can smile and know that everything is deeply connected. The other day I returned home to find a giant white feather in the middle of my lounge floor.

The more we talk about what we experience. The more we can bring about real community. Not a false community, but one that shares our experiences.  According to Google ",One in three Britons believe in guardian angels, and one in 20 claim to have seen or heard one.".
