Art Brave and New: From Carloz Cruz Diez to..

Art     Everywhere     Surrounding     Texture          Colour           Smell                  Senses.

A window. with many paper decorations hanging. Reflections of Ashbourne high street. A shiney window on a sunny day.

Always art for the sake of art and nothing else. That's the way to go. For example, just going for a walk with your phone or camera to take pictures of well, anything, is art. A critic is a body with a head and their own view. The papers and media are full of them, though what you like hanging on your walls and looking at is entirely up to you. Or is it? Are we living in an age where people's choices are dictated by what the former mentioned approve of, or their own passions? Surely art for the sake of art has no boundaries in its boundless appreciation of, well, everything.

Shop window reflections in St Johns, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. A lamp covered in knitted flowers. A star fish.

To define what is new and trendy is to be brave indeed. If we look back we can see how many artists have not only been unique in their new way of applying paint and designing but also very bold. Dancing with colour, shape, and geometrics is the architecture, the underpinning of the greatest buildings of the world but also maybe the pattern you just might find in granny's new paving.

Art is Everywhere. Surrounding us. Texture and Colour can unite and the Sweet smell of Art is as appealing as a freshly baked muffin on an Autumn morning. Let your Senses be your guide.

Just some artists whose work I like to look at:
I start at the top with my amazing friend Karen of Millie Moth, whose beautiful ink designs are beautiful!
